The storm has finally passed.
Its dark clouds fleeing to the west,
Leaving the land for another day.
I wandered into the snow,
Smiling despite the cold in my heart.
My garden was draped in white,
Like a miracle I’d been waiting for –
A dream I was too afraid to wake up from.
I headed to see my little Starflower.
My knees grazed the cold.
I took my frosted hand out of my pocket
And held it,
All covered in snowflakes,
Glittering like a shining star.
In my hands, the Starflower began to melt,
Slowly losing its light,
And soon, faded away
Just like this year –
With all its heavy emotions and good memories,
It disappeared,
With no traces, no fears.
My lovely Starflower,
A friend of all the seasons,
It finally melted,
Only water drops, dripping to the ground.
