I was trapped with a black raven
in a web of fears.
He whispered old tales of darkness,
of wars,
of death,
of dreams I can’t recall,
of a life I once ignored.
And I listened,
captivated by his quiet voice
and piercing eyes.
There, in the web of fears,
only darkness prevailed.
Round and round I went,
imprisoned, with no one to help.
The Raven’s claws had captured my soul.
But when the curtains were lifted,
sunlight pierced through the clouds.
The raven was defeated at last,
falling like yellow leaves in autumn.
The cage flung open.
My chains broke,
and I smiled with relief.
Unflinching, I stepped beyond the bars,
carried on the back of a white eagle,
crossing mountains,
crossing seas.
Now, I am happy,
Now, I am free –
free from the web of fears.
