The Matters of the Soul

Reason’s Call

Reason has sternly warned me from approaching the coastline of your spirit,

However,

I have learned from past storms,

And shifted my stroll to a different summer land,

Where seasons are welcomed with open bosoms.

I have withheld my passions,

To shelter them within this vacant body,

Where safety resides peacefully,

Away from the hollow rising tides of anger!

Under The Sparkling Moonlight

We dance to the tunes of our heartbeats –

Night ever so enchanting,

We dance and dance,

Until we reach the heavenly skies above;

The moon casts a smile upon our arrival,

And the clouds greet us with their warm embrace.

Before us, a majestic vision arises,

When a sudden thunder shatters it

Into lifeless shreds.

That milieu abolished for good,

And you – you dared to leave me,

Weeping,

Drowning in my sorrows,

Sinking into the drastic maze of ruin…

Ever After

Take me to a world of mysteries,

To decipher all the mystics,

To contemplate the true essence of my existence.

Take me to an unseen world,

Where no creature has set foot,

Where no one dares to dream,

Where they only think

Of the unknown in the known;

Yet the unknown will soon be known,

And the known will be unknown and forgotten!

Love me if you must,

Carry my heart if you will,

Dress me with splendid wonders if you can,

Consume me with your eyes if you please,

Bring the moon and the sun to my palms if you could,

Spare me your excuses,

I am forever your queen –

Queen of joy and sorrow,

Queen of sin and redemption,

Queen of your heart,

Your forever after!
